"KIM, Goodbye" Shock as Man Utd and PSG Show Interest, Bayern Sets Price at £42 Million

Matthijs de Ligt (Bayern Munich) is receiving significant interest from multiple clubs.

On the 3rd (Korean time), British media The Sun reported, "Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is ready to sign de Ligt."

Born in 1999, de Ligt is a renowned Dutch defensive talent. He led Ajax's resurgence and gained worldwide attention, notably during the 2018-2019 Champions League quarter-finals against Juventus. He transferred to Juventus in the summer of 2019 and then to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.

At Bayern, de Ligt played a crucial role but had a turbulent 2023-2024 season under coach Thomas Tuchel, appearing in 22 Bundesliga matches. It seems likely he will leave Bayern this summer.

The Sun stated, "De Ligt is expected to leave Bayern this summer. Several clubs are interested, with Manchester United leading the race. Recently, PSG has also joined the race, but de Ligt reportedly prefers Manchester United. Negotiations between Manchester United and Bayern Munich are ongoing, with Bayern setting de Ligt's transfer fee at £42 million." A move to Manchester United would reunite de Ligt with former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Manchester United finished 8th in the 2023-2024 Premier League season with 18 wins, 6 draws, and 14 losses (60 points). They were eliminated early from the Carabao Cup and Champions League but restored some pride by defeating city rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final.스포츠분석
